FUTMinna Loses Two Students
The Students’ Union Government has expressed deep sorrow following the tragic death of two students of the University who lost their lives in a fatal road accident at Dama.
The deceased were Mr. HASSAN Samuel, a 200-level student of the Department of Surveying and Geoinformatics, and Mr. AMOSA Oluwakayode Noah, a 300-level student of the Department of Physics.
According to reports, the students were travelling on a motorcycle when it was involved in a severe collision with a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle reportedly fled the scene immediately after the accident but has since surrendered himself to the Kpakungu Police Station.
Members of the Students’ Union Executive, S.R.A., and other concerned students accompanied the victims to the General Hospital, where they were unfortunately confirmed dead despite efforts by medical personnel to save their lives.
Reacting to the tragic incident, the Students’ Union Government extended its heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, colleagues, and loved ones of the deceased, noting that the entire student community shares in their grief during this difficult period.
The Union also urged members of the University community to keep the bereaved families in their thoughts and prayers as they come to terms with the painful loss.
