FUTMINNA Announces Vacancy for University Bursar

The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) has announced a vacancy for the position of University Bursar, inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates.

According to the announcement issued by the Office of the Registrar on Thursday, September 3, 2026, the University Bursar will serve as a Principal Officer and the institution’s Chief Financial Officer, responsible for the day-to-day administration and control of the University’s financial affairs.

Qualification and Requirements

Applicants must possess a minimum of a Second Class Lower Degree in Accounting or an allied discipline from a recognised university. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.

Candidates must also be registered members of either the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) or the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

The applicant must demonstrate strong competence, integrity, transparency and experience in financial administration and management, as well as proficiency in ICT and its application to financial operations.

Applicants must currently be at least at the rank of Chief Accountant and possess a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including at least five years in a university environment.

The candidate must not be more than 59 years old at the time of appointment. The appointment will be for five years, with the possibility of a one-year extension subject to satisfactory performance.

Application Procedure

Applicants are required to submit 35 copies of their application and curriculum vitae to the Registrar. The CV must contain details of their personal information, educational and professional qualifications, work experience, administrative experience, current employment and details of three referees.

Applicants are also required to submit, in not more than 500 words, their vision for the development and management of a digitalised Bursary Department for a 21st Century University.

Applications must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “Application for the post of Bursar” and addressed to the Registrar, Federal University of Technology, Minna, PMB 65, Niger State, Nigeria.

The application deadline is six weeks from the date of the advertisement.

Only shortlisted candidates will be acknowledged.
