UNN Introduces New Undergraduate Programmes for 2026/2027 Academic Session.
The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has introduced 12 new full-time undergraduate programmes following approval by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The newly approved programmes include Automotive Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Science, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Pharmacology, Optometry, Health Care Administration and Hospital Management, and Educational Management.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Simon Uchenna Ortuanya, the approval strengthens the university’s capacity to provide quality education in emerging and specialised fields while meeting national development needs.
UNN said the programmes will commence from the 2026/2027 academic session in line with NUC standards.
