Nigeria Police Academy Commences Sale of Application Forms for 13th Regular Course

The management of the Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, has officially invited applications from qualified individuals for admission into its 13th Regular Course Degree Programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

According to a public notice published on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, the online application portal will open for a six-week period starting today, 3rd June 2026, until 15th July, 2026. Admission is open to both male and female Nigerians of good character.

Prospective applicants must strictly meet the following entry criteria:

Nationality & ID: Must be of Nigerian origin by birth and possess a National Identity Number (NIN).

JAMB Performance: Must have a 2026 UTME result with a score of not less than 180 marks, and must have selected the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, as their first-choice institution.

Academic Qualifications: Must possess a minimum of six (6) credits in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, or their equivalent, with credit passes in English Language and Mathematics. SSCE statements of results or certificates from examinations taken before 2023 will not be accepted.

Age Limit: Applicants must be aged between 16 and 21 years by October 31, 2026.

Physical Metrics: Must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit. Height must not be less than 1.67m for males and 1.64m for females. Male applicants must have an expanded chest measurement of at least 86cm (34 inches).

Marital Status: Applicants must not be married or pregnant at the time of admission.

Interested candidates are directed to visit the official portal at www.admission.polac.edu.ng to generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code. A non-refundable fee of Six Thousand Naira (₦6,000.00)—which includes a ₦2,000 Post-UTME examination fee—is payable at any commercial bank branch nationwide.

Applicants must upload scanned copies of their SSCE results, Birth Certificate, and Certificate of Origin. Printed copies of the completed application form, guarantor form, and online submission printouts must be submitted at the academy during the selection process.

The academy outlined a multi-stage automated selection process:

Aptitude Test: A Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be administered at the Academy's ICT Centre on a date to be communicated.

Automated Physical Screening: Candidates meeting CBT benchmarks will undergo physical verification. Originals of academic credentials, local government indigene certificates, and a guarantor form signed by a public servant not below GL13 or a security officer not below the rank of CSP (or military equivalent) must be presented.

Medical & Interview Screening: Successful physical screening candidates will advance to automated medical checks and interview selection exercises.

Courses leading to a Bachelor's Degree are available across the Faculty of Humanities, Department of Education, Faculty of Science, and Faculty of Social and Management Sciences. Notably, the academy stated it will not admit candidates for Law courses during the 2026/2027 academic session.

Admitted candidates will undergo a combined academic and police training program for a minimum period of five years. Upon successful completion, graduates will be awarded a Bachelor's Degree and commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP).
