FUHSI Warns Students Against Dress Code Violations

The management of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun (FUHSI) has reiterated its commitment to enforcing the institution’s dress code regulations, warning students against further violations.

In an internal memorandum issued by the University Dress Code Committee on June 1, 2026, the committee expressed concern over what it described as the widespread disregard for the university's dress code by students across various departments and levels.

According to the memo, compliance with the institution's dress regulations remains mandatory, and any further breaches will not be tolerated. The university noted that the dress code guidelines have been repeatedly communicated to students through orientation programmes, matriculation ceremonies, billboards, banners, handbills, and the Students' Information and Regulations Handbook (2025–2030).

The committee further reminded students that the regulations, along with penalties for violations, are clearly outlined in Chapter Eight (pages 36 and 37) of the handbook. Students were therefore urged to familiarize themselves with the provisions and accompanying sanctions.

The university also appealed to members of staff to support the enforcement of the dress code policy, stating that collective efforts would help curb indecent dressing and promote discipline within the institution.

The memorandum was signed by Professor Amadu K. Salau, Chairman of the University Dress Code Committee.
