UNILORIN UISEC Announces Requirements for Electoral Aspirants
The UNILORIN Independent Students’ Electoral Commission (UISEC), for the 2025/2026 academic session, has released a press statement on Wednesday, 10th June, 2026 at 11:00 AM, notifying all aspirants of the requirements for the submission of nomination forms ahead of the upcoming general election.
According to the commission, aspirants are required to submit the following documents:
1. Candidate Electoral Form
2. Photocopy of Candidate Electoral Form
3. Letter of recommendation signed by the aspirant and a lecturer or L.A. in the department
4. Photocopy of Student ID card
5. School fees receipts
6. Original payment receipt
7. Course forms for all academic sessions
8. Academic result printouts for all academic sessions
9. Two (2) passport photographs
10. Personal details printed from the student portal
11. Coloured copy of campaign banner (A4 size)
12. Copy of resignation letter (for aspirants holding any office, duly signed and stamped)
UISEC further stated that nomination forms are to be obtained at the UISEC Secretariat, located at the first block of the Students’ Affairs Unit, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM daily.
The commission also announced that payment for the forms should be made via transfer to the University of Ilorin Microfinance Bank account (Account Number: 1100013577, Account Name: Students’ Union). Aspirants are expected to send their payment receipts to any of the principal officers and also come along with a printed copy of the receipt upon collection of forms.
It was further stated that the deadline for submission of completed forms is 12:00 PM on Friday, 12th June, 2026, warning that late submissions will not be entertained.
