UNILESA Commences 2026/2027 Admission Screening, Lists Eligibility Requirements
The University of Ilesa (UNILESA), Osun State, has officially announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session. According to the institution, applications are now open for admission into various undergraduate programmes across its faculties, including Nursing Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Computing, Arts, Sciences, Social and Management Sciences, Education, Agriculture, Public Health, Medical Laboratory Science, Science Laboratory Technology, and Law. Article image The university disclosed that candidates who scored 160 and above in the 2026 UTME are eligible to apply, provided they selected UNILESA as their choice institution. Candidates who did not initially choose the institution have been advised to effect a change of institution through the JAMB CAPS portal before proceeding with the application. For Direct Entry applicants, the institution stated that candidates must possess relevant qualifications for admission into the 200 level and must also process their admission through the JAMB admission platform alongside the university portal. UNILESA further noted that all applicants must possess at least five relevant credit passes in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent examinations in not more than two sittings. The institution also stressed that only candidates who will be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, are eligible for the screening exercise. Among the programmes available are Nursing Science, Medicine-related courses such as Physiotherapy, Optometry, Radiography, Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Laboratory Science, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Accounting, Political Science, Public Administration, Criminology and Security Studies, English Language, Theatre Arts, Economics, Agricultural courses, and Law, among others. Candidates are required to complete their applications via the university’s admission portal at admissions.unilesa.edu.ng and pay a non-refundable screening fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000). The university management warned candidates against providing false information during registration, stating that any falsification would lead to automatic disqualification. UNILESA also clarified that it does not operate through admission consultants or agents. The announcement was signed by the Registrar of the institution, Funso Ojo.
