UNILAG Extends O’Level Verification Deadline for 2026/2027 Admission
The management of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced a further extension of the deadline for prospective Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates to upload their O’Level results on both the university portal and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).
According to an official press release issued on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, by the Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council, Mrs. Abosede Wickliffe, the closing date which was initially set for Wednesday has now been extended to Monday, August 24, 2026. The statement directs all prospective UTME applicants to ensure that their WAEC, NECO, GCE, or Cambridge O’Level qualifications are fully updated on both platforms on or before the new cutoff date.
The Registrar emphasized that candidates must log into their JAMB CAPS portals to confirm that their uploaded credentials reflect accurately by refreshing their profile pages. Candidates are explicitly warned that failure to properly upload and verify their O’Level records on JAMB CAPS before the August 24 deadline will result in total disqualification from the 2026/2027 admission screening process.
