JAMB Announces New Policy for Changing Registered Phone Number & Email Address
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new process allowing candidates who have lost access to their registered GSM number or email address to update their details through a secure and controlled procedure.
According to JAMB, the service commenced on Monday, 21 September 2026, and is available only at designated JAMB Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres, including Professional Test Centres (PTC), Professional Registration Centres (PRC), and State Offices where applicable.
The Board stated that candidates who wish to use the service must provide their new GSM number and/or email address, alongside a duly executed Court Affidavit which will be scanned and processed as part of the request.
JAMB also emphasised that the service can be accessed only once and is subject to strict identity and biometric verification.
The Board urged candidates to use only designated JAMB centres and warned against patronising unauthorised persons or unofficial channels.
