Osasere Okundaye Beats 2022 Record Holder, Becomes Nigeria's Youngest Chartered Accountant
History was made in Nigeria's accounting profession after Osasere Okundaye qualified as a chartered accountant at the age of 16, becoming the youngest person to attain the prestigious status in the country.
Her latest achievement has earned applause from the Federal Government, with the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, describing the accomplishment as a proud moment for Nigeria and a strong reflection of the potential of young people across the country.
The minister said the teenager's journey proves that determination, discipline and consistency can produce remarkable results, regardless of age. He also commended her parents, teachers and mentors for providing the support that helped her reach the milestone.
Honorable Updates gathered that Osasere attained the feat after successfully completing the professional examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), setting a new national record in the process.
She now replaces Jonathan Adewale, who held the previous record after qualifying as a chartered accountant at the age of 17 in 2022.
The Federal Government also assured Nigerian youths of its continued commitment to policies and programmes that will help them develop their talents and excel in their chosen careers.
