LASU Students Begin Second Semester Examinations, VC Sends Message of Encouragement

The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Distinguished Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, has urged students of the institution to approach the ongoing Second Semester Examinations for the 2025/2026 Academic Session with confidence, diligence, and integrity.

In a message addressed to students on Monday, June 1, 2026, the Vice-Chancellor congratulated them on reaching another significant stage in their academic journey, describing the examination period as an important milestone in the university calendar.

Professor Olatunji-Bello noted that examinations go beyond assessing academic knowledge, stressing that they also provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate their growth, dedication, and preparedness for future academic and professional challenges.

She encouraged students to remain focused throughout the examination period, advising them to prepare adequately, manage their time effectively, and give their best in every paper. According to her, the knowledge and training acquired during the semester have equipped students for success.

The Vice-Chancellor also reiterated the institution's firm stance against examination malpractice, warning that LASU maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of misconduct during examinations. She emphasized that offenders would be sanctioned in line with the provisions of the Students' Handbook.

Professor Olatunji-Bello further urged students to build their achievements on honesty, hard work, and integrity, stating that true success should be earned through legitimate efforts.

Expressing her support for the students, she prayed for wisdom, good health, confidence, and outstanding performance throughout the examination period.

The Second Semester Examinations for the 2025/2026 Academic Session officially commenced on Monday, June 1, 2026, across the university.
