UNILORIN Faculties Set to Go Head-to-Head
The University of Ilorin is set to commence its 2025/2026 Inter-Faculty Quiz and Debate Competition on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the University Main Auditorium.
The event, scheduled to begin at exactly 3:00 p.m., is one of the University’s annual academic activities aimed at promoting intellectual engagement, healthy competition, and academic excellence among students across various faculties.
The competition will kick off with faculties in Groups A and B battling for qualification to the next stage.
Group A Fixtures:
• Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences vs Faculty of Management Sciences
• Faculty of Education vs Faculty of Clinical Sciences
Group B Fixtures:
• Faculty of Environmental Sciences vs Faculty of Social Sciences
• Faculty of Engineering and Technology vs Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
The annual competition is expected to showcase the intellectual prowess, critical thinking abilities, and debating skills of participating students, while also fostering unity and healthy rivalry among faculties.
Members of the University community and the general public are invited to witness the exciting contests and support their respective faculties as they compete for honours.
Recall that on May 3, 2026, Team Honorable Updates reported that the University of Ilorin had released the official roster for the 2025/2026 Inter-Faculty Quiz and Debate Competition.
According to the schedule released by the University, the group stage will continue on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., featuring faculties in Groups C and D.
The semi-final stage of the competition is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, with qualified faculties advancing based on their performances in the group stage.
All stages of both the Inter-Faculty Quiz Competition and Debate Competition will take place at the University Main Auditorium.
