FUTMinna Begins School Fees Loan Refund Verification

The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMinna) Students' Union has announced the commencement of the verification process for applications submitted for the School Fees Loan Refund.

In a press release dated July 5, 2026, the union disclosed that all submitted applications are currently being carefully assessed to ensure that only eligible students receive refunds.

According to the statement, the Students' Union had earlier collaborated with the university management to facilitate a manual refund process, through which thousands of students successfully received their school fees refunds.

However, the union noted that several students who had already benefited from the manual refund process also submitted applications for the electronic refund. It explained that this has resulted in duplicate records, making the verification process more time-consuming.

To ensure transparency, accountability, and fairness, the union said it is thoroughly screening all applications to eliminate duplicate payments and prioritize students who are yet to receive their refunds.

The union further clarified that when the new refund application link is released, it will be strictly meant for students who have not received any refund. Students who have already been refunded through the manual process or have previously submitted an electronic application were advised not to apply again, as multiple submissions will not be considered and may further delay the exercise.

The Students' Union appealed to students for patience and understanding while the verification process continues, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring that every eligible student receives their refund once the assessment is completed.
