NUC Approves 30 New Programmes for FUD
The Federal University Dutse (FUD), Jigawa State, has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to commence academic activities in its Faculty of Law and introduce 30 new academic programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The approval, contained in a letter dated September 11, 2026, covers both full-time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across various disciplines.
The NUC approval was conveyed in a letter signed by the Director of Academic Planning, Abubakar M. Girei, and addressed to the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Ahmad Mohammed Gumel.
According to a statement by the university’s Acting Director of Public Affairs, Mr Abdullahi Yahaya Bello, the development marks a significant expansion of academic opportunities at FUD.
