OAUTHC Opens Admission into School of Community Health for 2026/2027 Academic Session.

The School of Community Health, under the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), has announced the commencement of admissions into its Higher Diploma in Community Health programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.

According to the admission notice, applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the programme, which will run for either one or two calendar years and commence in September 2026. Successful candidates will be awarded a Higher Diploma in Community Health upon completion.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must possess a minimum of five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics obtained in WAEC, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB examinations in not more than two sittings.

For the one-year programme, candidates must:
- Be qualified as a Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW).
- Possess a First Degree in Community Health Science, Health Education, Public Health, or an HND in Community Health.
- Be registered with the Community Health Practitioners’ Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) and hold a valid practising licence.

For the two-year programme, candidates must:

- Possess a Diploma in Community Health, or
- Hold a Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) Certificate with at least five years of work experience.
- Be registered with CHPRBN and possess a valid practising licence.

Screening Exercise
Admission will be based on candidates' performance in a competitive written examination and oral interview scheduled for Monday, July 27, 2026, and Tuesday, July 28, 2026, respectively.

Candidates are required to present their examination slips, original certificates, and valid practising licences at the examination venue.

Application Procedure
Application forms can be obtained online through the official OAUTHC website at a fee of ₦15,000 payable via the Remita platform.
Applicants are advised to carefully follow the application instructions on the portal. Candidates applying for the one-year programme should select CHEW and BSc, while those applying for the two-year programme should select CHEW.

Deadline
The deadline for submission of applications is Wednesday, July 24, 2026.
