Kwara Declares Monday Holiday for Teachers
Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has declared Monday, October 5, 2026, a work-free day for teachers across the state in commemoration of the 2026 World Teachers’ Day (WTD).
The declaration was contained in a statement issued on Friday, October 2, by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mashood Abdulrafiu Agboola.
According to the statement, the Governor extended his best wishes to teachers across Kwara State and acknowledged their contributions to human capital development.
He also appreciated teachers for their efforts and resilience, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to their welfare and that of all residents of the state.
Governor AbdulRazaq further wished teachers a more rewarding and prosperous service to humanity.
