His death was confirmed on Saturday by the current Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, who described the development as a painful loss to the University community and the nation at large.

According to the University, Professor Ambali passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 68 after a brief illness.
