LASU Releases 2026/2027 Pre-Degree Admission Form
Lagos State University (LASU) has commenced applications for admission into its Pre-Degree Studies (PDS) Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
According to the university, the programme is scheduled to begin in October 2026 and run until September 2027, offering prospective students an opportunity to strengthen their academic qualifications and prepare for admission into the institution's undergraduate programmes.
The university explained that the one-year programme is designed for candidates seeking to improve deficiencies in their O'Level results while also preparing for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
LASU stated that the programme will be conducted at its Epe Campus, adding that all admitted students will be required to reside in the university's hostels throughout the duration of the programme.
To be eligible for admission, applicants must possess at least three credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Government, Economics, Literature in English, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Religious Studies or Accounting, obtained in not more than two sittings.
The institution noted that qualified applicants will sit for a written qualifying examination covering subjects relevant to their intended areas of study before admission is offered.
The university further disclosed that successful candidates seeking progression into 100-level degree programmes must obtain the minimum UTME score approved for university admission, participate in the institution's screening exercise and meet all required O'Level requirements.
It added that candidates with outstanding deficiencies in their O'Level results are expected to register for WAEC or NECO examinations and successfully obtain the required credits before they can be considered for admission into degree programmes.
Students who successfully complete the programme may be admitted into various faculties and colleges, including Engineering, Science, Law, Education, Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Agriculture, Nursing, Dentistry, Mass Communication, Transport and the College of Medicine.
Prospective applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦15,000 through the university's official payment platform before completing their online registration.
The institution stated that the application portal will remain open for six weeks from the date of the advertisement, while the dates for the qualifying examination and interview will be announced later.
