UNILAG Upgrades GST 112, GST 212 to 2-Unit Courses
Students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) have been informed of an important update regarding GST 112 and GST 212 for the current semester.
According to a notice issued by the Director of the General Studies (GST) Office, Prof. Blessing Anyikwa, the courses are no longer classified as mere pass-or-fail audit courses. The courses have now been upgraded to 2-unit courses, meaning that students' grades will contribute directly to their Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
The GST Office also announced adjustments to the mode of lecture delivery, attendance requirements, and assessment procedures in line with the new status of the courses.
Under the revised arrangement, lectures will hold every Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. via the Learning Management System (LMS) and other designated virtual learning platforms.
Students have been advised to take the courses seriously, as non-participation in lectures or failure to engage in Continuous Assessments (CAs) on the platform may have a negative impact on their performance and overall CGPA.
