UNILORIN Law Graduates Receive Kwara Governor's Recognition
Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has hosted two outstanding graduates of the University of Ilorin's Faculty of Law following their exceptional performances in the 2026 Nigerian Law School final Bar examinations.
The reception, held at the Government House in Ilorin on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, honoured Mr. Israel Adekunle Adeniyi, who emerged as the overall best graduating student, and Miss Oluwatomisin Promise Daniel, who finished as the second-best graduating student in Criminal Litigation. Both are alumni of the University of Ilorin and indigenes of Kwara State.
Speaking during the event, Governor AbdulRazaq said the recognition was aimed at celebrating excellence, hard work, and dedication while inspiring other young people in the state to strive for academic and professional success.
The Governor, who also serves as the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors' Forum (NGF), commended the duo for bringing pride to Kwara State through their outstanding achievements.
He also expressed delight over their plans to pursue Master's degrees at Ivy League institutions and pledged to sponsor their postgraduate education once they secure admission.
In addition to the scholarship pledge, Governor AbdulRazaq presented each of the honourees with a cash gift of ₦5 million as a reward for their remarkable accomplishments.
