JAMB Releases Results of 632,788 Candidates from Day One of the 2026 UTME
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for candidates who participated in the first day of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), held on Thursday, 16 April 2026. A total of 632,788 candidates have so far been covered in this initial batch of results.
According to the Board, the released results are now accessible to candidates. To check their performance, candidates are advised to send UTMERESULT via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number (SIM) that was used during their registration for the examination.
JAMB clarified that at this stage, candidates can only view their results through the SMS platform, as printing of result slips has not yet been enabled.
The Board also issued a strong warning against any form of manipulation of the result messages received from the official codes (55019 and 66019). It noted that altering or fabricating results with the intention of deceiving parents or the public constitutes a serious criminal offence.
JAMB further disclosed that it is currently handling cases of misconduct, stating that two candidates and one parent are already in custody for engaging in result falsification using artificial intelligence and other electronic tools. The Board emphasized that any candidate found guilty of such actions will face the full weight of the law.
Meanwhile, the examination process is still ongoing across various centres, and results will continue to be released in batches as they are processed.
