LAUTECH Disclaims Viral Matriculation Signing Date
The management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has issued an official disclaimer regarding a viral social media message concerning the compulsory signing of the matriculation list for newly admitted 100-level and Direct Entry students of the 2025/2026 academic session.
In an official circular signed by the Registrar, Mrs. Olayinka O. Balogun, dated September 4, 2026, the university administration debunked the report as misleading and provided key clarifications for the general public and university community.
The university is currently on break. Students are not expected to return to campus to sign the matriculation register or any official document at this time, as the exercise is yet to commence.
The actual date for the exercise will be officially communicated once the university resumes.
The only official date released by the university is the submission deadline, fixed for September 30, 2026. Management emphasized that any other date circulating online—including September 23, 2026—is completely false.
Students and parents are advised to disregard the viral claim, as it did not emanate from the university management or any authorized official.
The management reassured all stakeholders that proper notification will be issued through official institutional communication channels as soon as the exercise commences post-resumption. Students are strongly advised to rely strictly on official university portals and verified channels for accurate information.
