Sanwo-Olu Appoints New LASU Vice-Chancellor
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved the appointment of Professor Badejo Ayodeji Olawunmi as the new Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU).
Professor Badejo, a Professor of Guidance and Counselling, was born on August 4, 1962. She obtained her Ph.D. and M.Ed. in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
She succeeds Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, whose five-year tenure is coming to an end following her retirement.
The appointment was contained in a statement issued by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
